Meet the Team
Tina Sindwani, MD
Internal Medicine Doctor in New York City
Tina Sindwani, MD is a board certified Internal Medicine physician with over 20 years of clinical experience. She has a private concierge medicine practice, is a member of the Voluntary Faculty at NYU, and serves as the Chief Medical Officer for the Madison Square Garden Company.
Dr. Sindwani completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology in three years from Columbia College, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was elected Phi Beta Kappa, which recognizes and honors exceptional academic achievement in the arts and sciences. From there she earned an MD from the prestigious Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Sindwani completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Manhattan. She was selected as one of four residential fellows for the Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona, studying under Dr. Andrew Weil.
Dr. Sindwani then accepted a position at the University of California San Francisco, Executive Health Practice, in one of the first concierge medical practices at an academic institution. As Medical Director of Executive Health she was instrumental in shaping and evolving their practice, growing membership by over 700% during her tenure there. Dr. Sindwani was an early adopter of precision medicine and new technologies. She introduced genetic testing, telehealth visits, remote monitoring, and piloted a lifestyle management program to promote behavior change around sleep, exercise and nutrition.
Subsequently, she was recruited by Mount Sinai Health System in 2017 to launch their first concierge medicine practice at Hudson Yards, serving as Medical Director of Premier Services. After practicing concierge medicine in an academic setting for 15 years, she decided in 2023 that it was time to take her wealth of knowledge and experience and open her own practice in Manhattan.
Dr. Sindwani sees herself as an educator and advisor, sharing the decision making process with each patient. She prefers to take a proactive and preventative approach to medicine, promoting lifestyle and behavior change prior to opting for medications when possible. The membership based concierge medicine model allows her to spend more time with her patients, and tailor her recommendations to optimize their health. She partners with a network of hand selected specialists in both private and academic settings.
Tina Sindwani, MD lives in the Flatiron area of NYC with her husband and dog. Aside from her work and love for patient care, she enjoys Pilates, audiobooks, art exhibitions, live music, people watching, and Van Leeuwen ice cream.

Natalia Walawender, Clinical Care Coordinator & Technician
Natalia was born and raised in New York. Her childhood in Valley Stream on Long Island included exposure to many of the hospitals and clinics in the area and sparked her interest in healthcare. She witnessed the compassion these healthcare workers brought to their patients and was inspired.
Natalia graduated Binghamton University with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. A highlight was a hands-on experiment in the university lab that she conducted from start to finish, including a formal presentation of findings.
Natalia’s goal is to continue on to medical school and hopes to become a doctor. For her, a career in medicine means upholding her personal traits of reliability, compassion, and personal growth. She finds joy in her friends and family and is excited to be part of the Dr. Tina Sindwani team!
Thaismel Bencosme, Clinical Care Coordinator & Technician
Thaismel’s parents immigrated to New York from the Dominican Republic, and she grew up in the Washington Heights area. She was influenced by the diverse community she grew up in and saw the disparity in healthcare in the Latin American community. This inspired her to pursue an education in science and medicine. Thaismel will be the first doctor in her family, but, as she says, not the first patient. Seeing her family members navigate health challenges made her realize how she wanted to bring the same compassion and empathy to her future patients.
Thaismel’s goal is to continue on to medical school, and she’s excited to work with Dr. Sindwani in bettering the lives of patients. She finds joy in the little things…a home cooked meal, lighting a candle, time at the beach, as well as quality time and laughter with her friends and family.
